Google now offers “street view” of the Amazon Rainforest. The service has set off to the Brazilian jungle to let users explore rivers, forests, and communities of the Amazon basin within Google Maps. Some amazing sights of Brazil.

EN-V car

The EN-V electric car concept by GM began pilot testing. The zero-emissions vehicle is a two-seater powered by lithium-ion batteries that recharge from conventional outlets to a range of 25 miles (40 km).

Leisure space travel

Vacationing in space is closer than you think. A trip on the Bloon, a zero-emissions craft designed for commercial near-space flight, flies out of Barcelona for approximately $160,000 USD per person and lets you see Earth from the stratosphere.

And this is what a hotel room in space looks like. The privately owned Commercial Space Station designed with Russian technologies, is planned to include a hotel pod for leisure stays ($165,000 USD for a five-day stay, not to mention $826,000 USD for the voyage to get there).

And soon we'll be able to see real space in 3D and feel like we're walking along with astronauts on alien surfaces, thanks to a 3D camera introduced this week by the ISS, the Erasmus Recording Binocular.

Living in cars

A great concept. The house charges the car with solar energy absorbed on the roof. And when docked, the car becomes a living room by rotating the seats.

Inventions

Festo's Bionic Learning Network just invented a robot bird that can actually fly like a real bird. Put some feathers on it, and it's a hawk. The SmartBird is an autonomous bionic bird that can be controlled and monitored from afar using a radio.


And the japanese, even in the middle of catastrophe, are still able to take us to a next evolutionary stage: they just recreated perfectly fine and reproductive sperm in a lab from cloned cells. As if reproduction weren't easy enough.
